Prayers have been answered, dreams have come true. The Lord of The Rings game is finally here, and we have the first look at it.
The new cinematic trailer sets the tone for the game and showcases Gollum sneaking through a cave before approaching the mighty Mordor.
According to the developers, the game is primarily focused on stealth rather than full-blown combat. In an interview with IGN, lead game designer Martin Wilkes spoke about what players can expect from The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum. “The game mixes stealth with vertical climbing parkour,” Wilkes explained.
“If you want a reference you might think of it as similar to Prince Of Persia. It is mostly a non-combat game, but Gollum will be able to stealthily take out enemies. However, this will not be easy and always come with big risks. We want players to carefully weigh these encounters. After all, Gollum’s strengths lie in cunning not combat.”
