Not one to rest on its laurels, Nikon unveiled the CoolPix P1000 with a 24-3,000mm f/2.8-8 lens (35mm equivalent) which offers a record-breaking zoom for any regular camera. For $1,000, you can now capture close-ups of even the moon with this gadget.
Like the last model, the CoolPix P1000 has 16 megapixel, 1/2.3-inch sensor but this time around, it comes with RAW photo support. It can be controlled over WiFi or Bluetooth and works with the smartphone app as well, a convenient feature for vloggers and bird watchers.

However, the P1000 packs a punch with a length of 14 inches and weighs 3.1 pounds – engadget reports that this makes it heavier than many mirrorless or DSLR cameras. The camera arrives in stores in September.
