2019 is going to be a revolutionary year for smartphones and there’s no doubt about that. Samsung and Apple are on their technological best to push for the most unique and never-seen-before designs. Other brands like OnePlus and Motorola also have a huge buzz around them, with the OnePlus 7 coming out this year and one of the most anticipated releases this year is the revamped comeback of the iconic Motorola Razr.

Images had already surfaced of the three-camera setup, but new images recently got leaked of another design that shows a dual-camera setup with a unique flash design. According to an earlier report by Bloomberg, Apple will use long-distance 3D ToF or Time of Flight technology. The technology is currently being developed by Sony but will be used on the 2019 iPhones according to the report. ToF technology resolves distance based on the speed of light and measures the light signal between the subject and camera in each image. This will allow next-generation iPhones to create 3D maps of anything within five meters, which will prove useful in gaming and AR-related applications.
Samsung Galaxy S10

Samsung is the undisputed king when it comes to displays. That is one of the biggest strong points of any flagship Samsung phone and the company is leading their landmark S10 release with the display as its major selling point. The company aims to implement their “Infinity-O” screen design seen in their A8 devices. Other brands like honor and Huawei have already implemented the hole-punch design and it looks like Samsung will continue that for 2019.
The S10 is set to be released on February 20 at the ‘Unpacked’ event along with the much-anticipated foldable smartphone.
OnePlus 7

OnePlus is the perfect choice when it comes to owning a phone which has all of the latest features, all for a price that won’t burn a hole in your pocket. The leaked image suggests that the company will go with the Oppo Find X design with a clean, almost bezel less screen and a camera sliding up only when necessary using a motor. Other features like an in-display fingerprint reader will also reportedly be included.
Motorola RAZR

The RAZR is a true icon in the mobile phone world and is one of the most memorable releases of all time. Motorola announced that they would bring back the folding phone but with a modern day touch to it. Leaked images suggest that there will be a 16mp + 12mp dual camera set-up and a flexible OLED screen. The phone will also reportedly have a hefty price tag of around $1200 (about Rs 85,000).
It’s important to note that these are just early possible prototypes and the designs and features mentioned could be changed when these devices finally comes out.
