Apple, at its Spring Loaded event, showcased many products that the brand has to offer in 2021. The highlight of the event was the launch of the new iMac, followed by the much awaited iPad Pro. Apple also displayed the latest AirTag and 2021 Apple TV 4K. They have also introduced a new colour variant to their iPhone 12 series.

The US based company introduced its latest iMac, powered by the Apple M1 chip. It comes with better and improved six-speaker setup with force-cancelling woofers, which along with Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio, promises a better audio experience. It also gets a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display as standard.

 

The new iMac starts at Rs 1,19,900 for the base model. The M1-powered 11-inch 2021 iPad Pro starts at Rs 71,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 85,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model, while the 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 99,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 113,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.

 

Talking about the new Apple iPad Pro, it is powered by Apple’s M1 chip, and comes in 11-inch and 12.9-inches display. It uses the Mini-LED-based Liquid Retina XDR display technology underneath. The new iPad Pro uses a 12-megapixel ultra-wide front camera arrangement with a viewing angle of 122 degrees, which also provides with the feature of FaceID and CentreStage feature.

 

Apple also launched its much awaited AirTag, which is used to find or track your lost items. The tracker itself is made of stainless steel, and is IP67 rated for water and dust resistance. The tracker has a small speaker inside, which, on Bluetooth connectivity, lets iPad or iPhone users locate their lost items via the Find My app.

 

Apple has upgraded the Apple TV 4K box too, which now comes with a A12 Bionic chip. There’s support for high frame rate HDR (at 60 fps) and Dolby Vision.

 

A new colour variant — purple — is being introduced to the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini. Apple says that the new purple colour is meant to celebrate the spring season. However, the specifications of both iPhone12 and iPhone 12 Mini remain unchanged.
