Imagine Satan being on a dating app. What would he look for? Someone who makes him look like an angel, perhaps? Well, that someone is obviously 2020, this dumpster fire of a year.
In a new Match ad, Satan has been paired opposite a woman who is the personification of this ghastly year. The ad is called Match Made in Hell and is written and directed by Deadpool star and Match board member Ryan Reynolds.
The ad opens with Satan sitting on his throne in Hell, looking all gruff and lonely but his loneliness doesn’t last long because he soon matches with a woman called “2020”.

The two (played by actors Aaron Reed and Natalie Roy) have a great date – enjoying movies at an empty movie theatre, snapping pictures in front of a dumpster fire and working out at a closed gym.
What makes this ad even more amusing is that it is also set to Taylor Swift’s rerecorded version of her iconic song, Love Story.
“Okay so while my new re-records are NOT done, my friend @VancityReynolds asked me if he could use a snippet of one for a LOLsome commercial he wrote so … here’s a sneak peek of Love Story! Working hard to get the music to you soon,” wrote Taylor Swift on Twitter.
“I don’t want this year to end,” Satan says towards the end of the ad. Dear God.
