Messi’s time as a Barcelona player officially came to an end, when he held a press conference on Sunday afternoon. In an emotional press conference when he was asked about his future, he said that a move to Paris Saint-German is a “possibility” and will think about his future as an ex-Barca player.

On Monday, a mob of Parisian fans made way at the airport in the hope that the Argentine will come to Paris for his medicals and final contract. But that didn’t happen, as Messi was at his home in Barcelona. Famous football journalist Fabrizio Romano in his tweet said, “Patience. PSG totally confident and optimistic to sign Leo Messi soon. He’ll fly to Paris once the agreement will be completed in every detail. It’s an important contract officially received 48h ago – ‘normal’ timing.”

 


But later that night, rumors sparked that Barcelona is preparing a contract for Messi so that he could re-join the club, such rumors obviously broke some PSG fans’ hearts and gave hope to Barcelona fans. But, a few hours ago, this rumor was also put to bed as Lionel Messi has officially agreed on a move to PSG.

According to L’Equipe, and confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Messi has agreed on a move to the Parc des Princes and will be arriving in the French capital in the coming hours to complete the move.

As per previous reports, the contract is for two years with the option of a third year in France.
