Team India coach, Ravi Shastri is an icon in the field of Indian cricket. Now, fans and lovers of cricket can take a walk down memory lane with the icon by reading a book that will look at the life of one of the sport’s most illustrious cricketers.
Sports journalist Ayaz Memon will write the book alongside Ravi Shastri and the book will also feature illustrations by Shiva Rao, according to HarperCollins India.
“I’ve had the privilege to play against, watch as well as commentate and now coach, some of the greatest cricketers to ever walk out on the pitch. I’m very pleased to be sharing my stories, a glimpse into my exciting life involved with cricket,” Ravi Shashtri said, according to PTI.

“From Champion of Champions to one of the world’s top cricket commentators to India’s head coach, Ravi Shastri has an incomparable perspective when it comes to the game of cricket,” believes senior commissioning editor at HarperCollins India Sonal Nerurkar.
The book will feature the cricketer’s “deep love for the game, his intimate accounts of the cricketers he’s played with, and his sharp observations”.
Four decades ago, Shastri made his Test cricket debut and played alongside cricketing greats like Ricky Ponting, Muttiah Muralitharan, Imran Khan, Vivian Richards and Ian Botham.
