Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is accused of raping a NY woman in the early 1990s, and the victim is now seeking $5 Million in damages, for she has to endure years of “physical, psychological, and emotional injury”.
Although the plaintiff doesn’t mention the exact date, she shares that the incident happened around the time when Tyson was accused of raping beauty pageant contestant Desiree Washington.
The pugilist was convicted and had to spend three years in prison in the latter’s case. The latest affidavit says Tyson invited the woman to her Limousine and started kissing all over without her approval.
“Tyson immediately started to touch me and attempted to kiss me. I told him no several times and asked him to stop, but he continued to attack me. He then pulled my pants off and violently raped me,” reads the affidavit obtained by Daily Mail.
The lawsuit was filed under New York State’s Adult Survivors Act, which gives the victim a period of twelve months to take legal action against sexual assault that happened years ago. The victim doesn’t want to reveal her name as it “would certainly pose a risk to me of further mental harm, harassment, ridicule or personal embarrassment.”
Tyson is yet to comment on the whole matter. He rose to fame after winning three back- to-back heavyweight titles from 1987 to 1990. His career has been riddled with controversies and scandals.
His first of three marriages fell apart within three months after his ex-wife Robin Givens revealed the domestic violence she had to endure. Givens said the marriage was “torture, pure hell, worse than anything I could possibly imagine.” His second wife
Monica Turner divorced after six years of marriage, accusing Tyson of cheating. He married for the third time in 2009.
Throughout his career, he struggled with cocaine addiction, and he admitted to having entered the ring under the influence of cocaine on several occasions.
