For the first time in India’s history, two Indian cricket teams have gone on tours and are still the best squads in both tours. One team is in the UK for the test series against mighty England, while the other team is in Sri Lanka preparing for six white-ball matches against the hosts. Both the teams have solid bases and are the favourites to win the series comfortably. Due to quarantine restrictions, the team has played their second Intra-squad match. The pictures of the game were uploaded on social media by the team.

Earlier this week, Surya Kumar Yadav spoke about how he is excited to represent India again and would be hoping to learn a lot from the great Rahul Dravid. Rahul Dravid has been the key to the revolution of the young Indian batsmen in the team. He, along with the under 19 captains Prithvi Shaw won the World Cup in 2019. Prithvi also hopes he gets to learn more and overcome all his flaws under Dravid. The entire visiting contingent played their second intrasquad game on Wednesday. The official Twitter handle of BCCI shared few snapshots from the game, and it captioned the post as: “A good day in the field as #TeamIndia played their 2nd intrasquad game in Colombo.” After this post, another video was posted on the BCCI handle where the players are seen beating the Sri Lankan heat through some old and some new and unheard-of measures. Through the intra-squad games, the players will have enough practice and know-how the pitch would behave in certain conditions and at certain times. In the first intrasquad games, some IPL regulars proved to be clinical as Manish Pandey, Surya Kumar Yadav, and Prithvi Shaw scored extraordinary fifties.
Indian team looks fully prepared as they should be. This would be India’s last international T20 assignment before the all-important World Cup in UAE and Oman. This would mean that only a few places are up for grabs, and the players in contention need to prove their worth to the team.
