Harbhajan Singh is arguably one of the most fearsome bowlers in cricketing history and is admired by fellow sportsmen for his positivity and wit. Known as the ‘Turbanator’ or ‘Bhajji’, Singh is also famous for his ‘doosra’ which is a batsman’s nightmare.
On his birthday, we catalogue some of his finest moments:
Bhajji was the first Indian Test cricketer to claim a hat-trick in the 2001 match versus Australia in Eden Gardens.
India versus Australia again, this time in 2008. Singh delivered his unplayable ‘doosra’ and took Mike Hussey’s stump. It was a beautiful sight to see.
An India versus Pakistan game is always a high adrenaline match. Bhajji delivered a resounding six when all India needed were three runs off two deliveries. Truly, what a game!
