India and Sri Lanka will continue their rivalry in a limited-overs series starting in mid-July. India would be sending their second-string side for this tour because their primary team will be in England for the World Test Championship final and the five tests against the mighty English. Since all the main team players will be in England, the fans can expect a lot of changes in the squad sent to Sri Lanka. If the rumours are true, we can see players like Chetan Sakariya, Deepak Hooda, who excelled in the IPL and will be hoping to make an impact if called up. It is being predicted that Shikhar Dhawan will be leading the side in the absence of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Other contenders like Shreyas Iyer, Hardik Pandya, and Rishabh Pant could also be great leaders for this team. The venues for the series have not been confirmed now but will be out sooner rather than later. The squads also haven’t been announced but are considered to be out soon
