Focusing on Olympic greatness, Indian women athletes lead by Vinesh Phogat, Deepika Kumari, and PV Sindhu are headed to the Tokyo Olympics, wearing capes of might mixed with technique. Let’s take a look at some women athletes who can bring glory to India:

Deepika Kumari

History hasn’t been kind to Indian Archers at the Olympics. It has been a site of failure throughout the long term. However, trust is restored again in front of their Tokyo Games crusade with the rankings round beginning on Friday. Despite the ladies’ group’s inability to qualify, the group of four of Deepika Kumari, Atanu Das, Tarundeep Rai, and Pravin Jadhav enter the super occasion with assumptions for winning the country’s first Olympic decoration in the game. Deepika Kumari, who is world no.1 in women’s recurve is the hope of 1.3 billion people to finally break the shackles in archery.

PV Sindhu

A quadruple of Indian shuttlers, lead by reigning World Champion PV Sindhu to carry on with the trend of returning with an Olympic medal after their success in the last two Olympics. The remarkable run in Rio, which made PV Sindhu, the heart of the nation ended in an exciting loss in the final, and Sindhu’s eyes will be set on claiming that gold medal this time around.

Vinesh Phogat

The first thought that pops in my mind when someone mentions Vinesh Phogat was when her down on wrestling mat as she suffered a heart-breaking injury in 2016. Since then, she has won gold medals at the Asian Championships, Asian Games, and Commonwealth Games and also has a World Champion bronze against her name. Vinesh Phogat at the moment is India’s brightest ray of hope in the Tokyo Olympics as she also want to bury the past of Rio 2016.

Mirabai Chanu

Mirabai Chanu fulfilled her promise today of winning the silver medal at 49kg weightlifting and competing head on with Chinese wrestlers. After performing poorly in Rio 2016, she came back with a bang and has been winning  medals and breaking national and world records and today she made her country proud.

Manu Bhaker

Pistol shooter Manu Bhaker is one of India’s top award hope at the Tokyo Olympics this year, where she makes her introduction in three occasions — 10m individual, blended group, and 25m gun. Back in Haryana’s Goria, the Arjuna awardee’s family says they are incredibly glad for her, paying little heed to how the Olympics unfurl.
