Few power couples have had such an indelible impact as David and Victoria Beckham. David's influence was never restricted to the playing ground. He donned multiple hats, and excelled in all of them. In fact, his off-field shenanigans surpassed his sporting achievements very early in his career. His bond with Victoria continues to prosper, but the couple might have a new bump to overcome. The cheating allegation against David when he just joined Real Madrid has come back to haunt him in the new year.
Rebecca Loos, the former assistant of David Beckham, has delivered a scathing account of her four-month affair with the English footballer. In the Anything Goes podcast hosted by James English, Rebecca said that she went public because of the mistreatment she received during the affair.
'I was hurt,' she replied. Rebecca added: "'Me going public was a "f*** you mate" for treating me like that. Big time. It was. I don't care how powerful you are, how much money you have. It's not okay.'"
When Beckham left his boyhood club Manchester United to join Madrid, Rebecca was entrusted with logistic operations. They had a group night out, following which she got intimate with David Beckham for the first time. It was the beginning of a four-month illicit affair that rocked the Beckhams' world, but the couple always denied so.
Rebecca Loos Opens Up On Her Illicit Affair With David Beckham
In a podcast, Rebecca revealed that she had once offered an olive branch to Victoria, implying that both of them had sex with the star footballer. She also stated that she was hounded by journalists from all quarters after she revealed her affair. "I naively thought people would appreciate somebody being honest and telling the truth. But people don't. They want to believe the fairytale,' Rebecca said. "I knew it was going to be big, I didn't realise I'd get as much hatred as I got back then," she added.
Rebecca also revealed how he fell for the lies of Beckham when he said this was the first time he was having an affair. "The first night I stayed with him in his hotel, I expected [he'd done this] with many girls. He's a football player, and the way he looked at girls," told Rebecca. Recalling Beckham's reply, she added,"And he just looked at me and said, 'I've never done this before, you're the first'".
When the rumours arose first more than a decade ago, the English footballer termed it ludicrous and also issued a statement. "During the past few months, I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life. The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts," he wrote.
