David Beckham has turned designer for Maserati and the result is a swanky-looking, black and pink MC20 Fuoriserie. Part of the luxury carmaker’s customization program, the Maserati Fuoriserie works as a blank canvas, allowing customers to design the car based on their unique preferences.
The inspiration behind Beckham’s customized MC20 supercar is Miami, a city the footballer calls his second home and has a personal connection with because of Inter Miami, the soccer team he owns.
Beckham’s sleek MC20 Fuoriserie gets a glossy black finish with opaque and pinkish accents — the colors of Inter Miami. The Maserati logos on the grille and the C-pillar are black but with an opaque finish. Another splash of pink comes in the form of the ‘MC20’ badge on the door and the Brembo brake calipers. The interior of the MC20 Fuoriserie For David features leather-and-Alcantara black upholstery. Keeping with the theme, there’s pink contrast stitching, and the headrests get pastel pink embroidery too. “Maserati Fuoriserie” in pink is seen on the central tunnel, while the “For David” gets an aluminum finish.
The first MC20 video shared by Maserati on their YouTube channel shows Beckham taking the supercar for a spin in Modena, Italy. Watch the video below. He describes the 630hp car powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine as “By far one of the best cars I’ve ever driven”.
A second video shared by the brand and Beckham shows the latter driving his unique supercar through the streets of Miami.
About the car, Beckham said: “I have always been a car enthusiast, so to be part of designing and creating my MC20 through the Fuoriserie customisation programme has been an amazing experience. Cars are about individual taste whether it’s the model, colour or small personal details on the inside. It has been incredible to collaborate with the Maserati team and designers to create this one-off car that is inspired by my second home, Miami and my football club there. It is a joy to be behind the wheel.”
