The holy Islamic month of Ramadan is approaching its midway point this year. In spite of busy schedules and erratic weather conditions, Muslim celebrities from across different fields make it a point to observe their Rozas (fasts), as they gear up to ring in Eid at the end of the month.
Here’s a list of these Muslim celebrities who observe fasts during Ramadan:
Huma Qureshi: The Bollywood actress, who just got back from Cannes, is also observing fasts during Ramzan. She said, in an interview, “Fasting is just not for food and water but also for thoughts and desires.”
Saqib Saleem: Just like his sister, Saqib too observes fasts during Ramadan. He is currently gearing up for his Eid release Race 3 with Salman Khan.
Gauahar Khan: This former Bigg Boss winner not only fasts but also turns a devout Muslim during the month.
Sana Khaan: The Jai Ho actress strongly believes that Ramzan brings her closer to the almighty and it is the best month to ask for mercy for knowingly or unknowingly committing sins and for all our wrong doings.
Hina Khan: Actress Hina who is popularly known for her role in the television soap Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, fasts every day during Ramadan. She also hosted an iftaar party for all her friends recently.
Yusuf and Irfan Pathan: Not only celebrities, our Muslim sports men observe their fasts with as much dedication. Even though Yusuf Pathan was recently busy with IPL, he and his brother never forget their religious duties.
Zaheer Khan: Along with fasting, the cricketer’s NGO ‘The Zaheer Uddin Khan Memorial Trust’ serves iftaar to poor during Ramzan as well.
Paul Pogba: The Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is one such footballer who fasts during Ramadan every year. He was seen visiting on a pilgrimage to Makkah recently, as well.
Moeen Ali: Cricketer Moeen Ali, who had a couple of memorable moments during the recently concluded IPL, also keeps his fasts during the holy month.
