Why Shah Rukh Khan And AbRam Khan Are Bollywood's Best Father-Son Duo
Why Shah Rukh Khan And AbRam Khan Are Bollywood’s Best Father-Son Duo

From teaching them gaalis to letting them learn about all religions, SRK is surely doing parenting right.

Just today, Shah Rukh Khan posted an adorable picture of AbRam playing a video game. We think it’s an adorable picture with a caption that reads, “Man & Machine …for they shall inherit the Earth..??.”

Despite having an extremely packed schedule as the country’s biggest superstar, Shah Rukh Khan still finds time to be a doting dad to his three children – Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. While AbRam is still in his formative years, Aryan and Suhana have grown to be extremely smart and confident and it might not be long before we see them on the big screen (if they choose Bollywood, that is). In a lot of his interviews, SRK has spoken about his kids and his thoughts on parenting. Let’s take a look at some of the things we can learn.

He doesn’t mind his son Aryan learning gaalis

In fact, he teaches him the right way to say them. “He gets really excited telling me about gaalis he’s learnt. I’m from Delhi and I’ve also been that age and my vocabulary of Hindi gaalis is fantastic. So when he tells me one, I tell him that I’ll teach him another version of it,” SRK told DNA.

He wants his kids to study well before entering Bollywood

“My kids can get into films if they want to. But they need to finish their education. I don’t think they invited me to Yale University to be a speaker just because I am SRK the actor, but also because I am educated enough to talk on any subject,” SRK said in an interview with Pune Mirror.

He refrains from giving relationship advice

“I give relationship advice to no one. I think you should not give such advice to anyone. Because every relationship is different, every f***-up is different, every happiness is different. You should just let everyone be,” he said in an interview with DNA.

He doesn’t impose religion on his children

“I have been reading Mahabharata for last one and half years because I love the stories in it. I tell those stories to AbRam. Similarly, the stories that I know of Islam, I narrate them to him as well. I hope they learn all the religions on their own and respect it,” SRK said in a recent press conference.

He becomes a kid himself to play with AbRam

“He’s a smart, intelligent kid and extremely fun to be with. And with him, I become a kid myself. I try and get him all the toys because somewhere, it’s also a way of living my own dreams. Maybe, even I wanted those toys when I was a kid, but we couldn’t afford it back then. Now, when I play with AbRam, I live those moments which I wanted to, but possibly couldn’t,” SRK said in an interview with DNA.

He isn’t afraid to fight for his kids’ safety

“I took little children for the match and 40 grown-up people came charging aggressively at me. I think my behavior is absolutely correct. I would still do the same thing if they misbehaved with my kids or kids that I am taking care of,” SRK said, clarifying the fact that he didn’t regret anything about the Wankhede brawl.
