Grey’s Anatomy fans, we have one sad news for you. All of us have always wondered if we would get to see our most-favourite Christina Yang on the screen for the very last time when the show ends.
It’s been 6 years since we said goodbye to Yang, who left Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital to go and work at a specialist hospital in Switzerland. While her character has been mentioned often on the show since her exit but she herself has never returned.
Now, she says she won’t go back to the show, not even for the very last episode. When asked by ET Canada about her return for the final episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Oh said: “I’m extremely grateful that you’re asking me that question because that means that people are still invested and interested in Cristina Yang – a character who I left six years ago.” She continued: “There are so many new projects and I’m a different person so I’m gonna have to say no.”
Ever since her exit on Grey’s Anatomy, she has been having an incredible success with Killing Eve, which recently scored eight nominations at the Emmys. Apart from that, she also just signed on to star in horror film Umma.
Talking about Grey’s Anatomy, the series is just about to air its 17th season. There has always been a huge demand from the fans to get Christina Yang’s character back, but now that Oh has moved on, we should too.
