Warner Bros is making its critically acclaimed drama about racial injustice, Just Mercy, free for rent in the wake of the civil unrest following the death of George Floyd.

Adopted from lawyer, Bryan Stevenson’s memoir of the same name, Just Mercy is a detailed look into the true story of Walter McMillian, a man on death row who fights for equal rights and justice with the help of his gifted lawyer.

The film stars Michael B Jordan, Jamie Foxx, and Brie Larson in the lead roles.

The movie has been made available on all digital platforms in the United States for all of June.

“To actively be part of the change our country is so desperately seeking, we encourage you to learn more about our past and the countless injustices that have led us to where we are today. Thank you to the artists, storytellers, and advocates who helped make this film happen. Watch with your family, friends, and allies,” the studio said.

The studio also said, in a statement, that the film’s powerful story will help people learn more about the “systemic racism that plagues our society“.
