2017 was a disappointing year for Bollywood films, and in case you were unfortunate enough to watch these disasters, then we feel sorry for you. If it makes you feel any better, we had to endure an assault on our senses too.
But we are positive about 2018, because well, optimism is a virtue. So without further ado, let’s look at the movies we are looking forward to.
Mukkabaaz
Anurag Kashyap is back, and by what we’ve seen from the trailer, it looks like another Gangs of Wasseypur type cult film that can be enjoyed (and will be enjoyed) long after its release.
Padmavati
We were waiting for it in 2017 itself, and loved the trailer and the songs. Unfortunately, some forces have stalled its release and we wish the film does see the light of the day next year.
2.0
Rajnikanth vs Akshay Kumar — a rivalry that we can’t wait to witness onscreen. In an interview with Komal Nahta, Aamir Khan had revealed how Rajni’s role was offered to him, but he turned it down despite knowing it’s going to be a big, big blockbuster. Will this surpass Baahubali 2’s collections? Only time will tell.
Super 30
Hrithik Roshan’s playing a mathematician and we’re excited to see how he fares in this biopic on Anand Kumar. It may see him rise, it may see him fall. It’s a brave move, we have to admit.
Simmba
Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh created madness when they made that Ching’s ad (embedded above) together. If Simmba turns out to be the same, we’ll be spending our money on this one.
Thugs Of Hindostan
An Aamir Khan movie is always awaited, and with Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif too in the mix of things, we are sure this heist movie will be a blockbuster.
