Vikrant Massey, one of India’s most highly-rated talents, has seemingly announced his retirement from acting at the age of 37. Massey, who was Man’s World’s cover star for the September 2023 issue, shared a heartfelt note on Instagram, thanking his fans for their support and stating it was time to "recalibrate and go back home". He has two upcoming movies, which will be released in early 2025, and he states that these may be the last time we see him on the silver screen.
While the actor hasn’t confirmed if this retirement is permanent, some movie pundits have been suggesting that this could be a publicity stunt for his upcoming movie, ‘Zero Se Restart’. Having made his debut with Disney India’s TV show ‘Dhoom Machao Dhoom’ in 2007, Massey has since cemented his place as one of the finest actors of his generation, known for his roles in critically-acclaimed projects like 12th Fail, Sector 36, and Mirzapur.
