Varun Dhawan is one of Bollywood’s most charismatic actors. He is celebrating his 34th birthday today, and social media has been flooded with wishes for the actor. His co-stars and friends from the industry have been pouring in wishes for the Badlapur actor as well. Apart from being a stellar actor, Dhawan is also a social media star. He is very active on Instagram, and he likes to shares even the smallest updates about his life with his fans. But while the actor is very open about his life, there are some interesting things that not many of his fans know. Varun Dhawan never wanted to be an actor. During an interview with an online portal, Dhawan had once confessed, “Everyone said I’d become an actor but I didn’t because growing up I’ve seen strugglers from all over the country, travel all the way and come to my residence trying to give an audition or letter to my dad. So I was like I don’t have this much passion in me right now, we will see what happens when I do get into the business.”

Dhawan has a degree in Business Management from Nottingham Trent University, U.K. He once revealed that he did crazy stuff during his college days including working at a night club. He worked as a leaflet distributor for the night clubs to make extra money as a student.

 

The October actor is a huge fan of Dwyane Johnson. He used to refer to himself as ‘The Rock’ during his school days. “I was a huge fan of The Rock. I always thought I had a one to one relationship with him. Through my school years, I actually used to call myself The Rock,” Dhawan said during an interview with Miss Malini.

 

While Dhawan’s female fans drool over his sexy shirtless pictures, the actor’s mother does not like him posting shirtless pictures online. She even gets upset when Dhawan tweets in incorrect grammar.

 

Before marking his debut with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year, Dhawan had given an audition for Life of Pi and Aamir Khan’d Dhobi Ghat.

 

Varun Dhawan has come a long way in his career, and now has an interesting line up of films. The actor will be seen in Jug Jugg Jeeyo alongside Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. He also has Bhediya starring Kriti Sanon as well.
