Twitter User Lists How Corporations Hugely Benefited From The Depp Vs Heard Trial

Some of them are quite disturbing

The start of this year was marked by the infamous Depp vs Heard trial, which somehow made the headlines every day for six weeks straight. If that wasn’t enough, it also spawned a number of TikTok and YouTube channels, heavily leaning in support of one celebrity and making the other the public enemy. 

 

Now that a few weeks have passed by, we’re beginning to see the cracks perpetuated by the media frenzy. A Twitter user by the name of Lilian (@liliandaisies), compiled a list of corporations that seemed to have benefitted from the harrowing trial.

The first culprit of which is Milani Cosmetics, a makeup brand, which made a TikTok video calling out Amber Heard as a liar after the actress used their product for demonstration during the trial. But that was far from the truth, as described in this tweet

Similarly, Lidl, one of the biggest supermarket chains in Europe made this distasteful ad against the actress

In the same vein, Starbucks stores around the globe labelled their tip jars as “Johnny Depp” and “Amber heard,” encouraging customers to pick a side. No points for guessing who won the popular vote here.

Sadly, companies like Etsy, Duolingo, and Red Box have made distasteful tweets about the situation, to seemingly gain traction from social media. Here’s the list:
