Farhan Akhtar’s New Avatar
Well, while it is very obvious that he had to be mentioned in this list, we are in awe of his transformation, and that needs extra credit. There are scenes in the trailer where Farhan weighs on the larger side of the ideal weight. He has a tummy, a full face. And within a blink of an eye, you see him flaunting his chilled abs. The actor has worked on his character, and within a duration of two minutes, you get to see a glimpse of it.
Farhan Akhtar’s Equation With Mrunal Thakur And Paresh Rawal
Thakur was seen in Super 30 before this, and honestly seeing her back on the screen is a delight. The chemistry between the two is refreshing and delightful. Rawal adds the spice to the story. He essays he role of a strict coach, who changes Akhtar’s life. We cannot wait to see the three together on the sceen.
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Magic
The film-maker who has given us films like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Rang De Basanti is weaving magic with Toofan once again. He has directed the story beautifully, suggest the trailer, and the audience is in for a treat for sure. Toofan also marks Mehra and Akhtar’s second collaboration after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, both being sports-based films.
Apart from Farhan Akhtar, Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, the film also stars Supriya Pathak Kapur, Hussain Dalal, Dr.Mohan Agashe and Darshan Kumaar in key roles. Backed by Ritesh Sidhwani, Mehra and Akhtar, the sports drama will premiere on July 16 on Amazon Prime Video.
