Tom Hardy has been reportedly cast as the new James Bond after Daniel Craig.

According to The Vulcan Reporter, the Oscar-nominated actor will take over the franchise after the release of Craig’s last film as Bond — No Time To Die.

The report mentioned that the studio made their choice after Hardy gave a successful audition back in June. Hardy faced tough competition from other talented and popular actors  like Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba and Richard Madden, who were also in the running to play Bond.

The studio reportedly plan to make an official announcement in November after the release of No Time To Die. But delays almost seem inevitable due to the ongoing pandemic.

If the rumours prove to be true, Tom Hardy will join the elite club of other veteran Agent 007s that include names like Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
