To All the Boys was a successfully hit franchise backed by Netflix. Starring Lana Condor and Noah Centineo in lead roles, the franchise helped give a new lease of life to the romantic comedy genre as it was immensely loved by the audience. Considering the appreciation that the last part of the film received, the latest buzz suggests that the OTT platform is now considering exploring a spin-off of the franchise. It is being reported that the makers are exploring a possibility of a TV series starring Anna Cathcart, who played Lara Jean Covey’s little sister, Kitty, in all three films.

Deadline reported that the project is in early development with the streaming service. It is being said that the spin-off series would be a half-hour, rom-com show backed by Awesomeness Productions and ACE Entertainment. The show will chronicle Kitty Song Covey’s “quest to find true love.” Jenny Han, the author of the To All the Boys book series, will be coming on board to create, write, and executive-produce the series. Siobhan Vivian has also reportedly been roped in to co-write the pilot.

For anyone who has not seen the last part of the film titled To All the Boys: Always and Forever, the film revolved around how Lara Jean (Condor) and Peter Kavinsky (Centineo) deal with new problems as they move to college. While the two are trying to figure out what’s best for their relationship, Lara Jean’s sister Kitty, hits it off with a boy from South Korea, whom she met on a trip to the country. The spin-off TV show will pick off from there and will explore how Cathcart’s character deals with the new experience called ‘love’.

Cathcart’s appearance in the show is reportedly confirmed, but we still don’t know whether the OG TATB couple – Condor or Centineo – will appear in the series or not. Cathcart had earlier spoken about their behind-the-scenes antics and revealed, “We were so comfortable with each other, and we’d always be making each other giggle, and always just having the best time,” also revealing that she has a chat group with Condor and Janel Parrish, who played the eldest Covey sister in the series and still remains in contact with them.

“I really liked filming with the three sisters, of course. The fight—like the little run around the bed, fighting and stuff—was super fun when we were all arguing. It might not be fun to fight with your sisters in real life, but on a movie set, it turns out, it’s way better,” Cathcart had said during an interview with Bustle in 2018.
