Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder is just a few days away from its release, and by the look of its trailer, it going to be one hell of a ride. And while Love and Thunder is the fourth instalment in the franchise, Hemsworth suggests that it might be his last stint as the superhero.
During his Wired’s auto-complete interview, Hemsworth was asked about his future as Thor and about his last Thor movie. He replied by saying, “The last one I just shot was Thor: Love and Thunder. And it may be my last, I don’t know.”
The recently released trailer of the film circles around Hemsworth’s titular character and his journey to self-discovery. However, when he is ready to retire, he is introduced to a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher. Fans will get to see many moments of Christian Bale being the absolute badass in the trailer.
Gorr seeks the extinction of the gods and Thor fights to stop him. He is joined by King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who can also wield Thor’s magical hammer, Mjolnir. The story will chronicle a tale of vengeance, the rise of a god and a lot of drama.
Taika Waititi is back in the director’s seat for Thor: Love and Thunder . The film is produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum. Russell Crowe cameos as Zeus, while Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper also make a comeback. The film opens in theatres on July 8, 2022.
