Netflix’s hit TV show Stranger Things has been renewed for a fourth season. The show’s official Instagram account posted a brand new teaser that gives out a hint that there is a world beyond Hawkins, Indiana. Also, it’s probably the best time to explore the other areas of the show’s world.
The creators, Matt and Ross Duffer have signed a multiyear film and series deal that would bring out more content from the iconic duo that created the universe of Upside Down.
The teaser posted below was reposted by the cast with a cryptic caption “We’re not in Hawkins” anymore.
The teaser points out to a creepy clock that led to fan theories that the show might involve some kind of time-machine or the world might bend and move through time. If this theory comes true, then the show might revive the dead characters such as Barb.
“The Duffer Brothers have captivated viewers around the world with Stranger Things and we’re thrilled to expand our relationship with them to bring their vivid imaginations to other film and series projects our members will love,” said Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer, in a press release. “We can’t wait to see what the Duffer Brothers have in store when they step outside the world of The Upside Down,” as reported by The Verge
Earlier this year, the series dropped their third season which received acclaimed reviews from the critics. This proves that the iconic TV series will continue to give the audiences surprising twists. The release date for the fourth season isn’t mentioned by the streaming site or the creators but it can be expected to be released by late 2020 or even early 2021.
