The Weeknd stole all the limelight when the BillBoards Music awards were held in Los Angeles and aired on May 23, 2021. The Weeknd had the most nominations this year with 16 nominations and had a fantastic previous year with hits like ‘After Hours’ and ‘Blinding Lights.’ The other artists also had a fair few nominations as Da Baby came with nine nominations, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande bagging three nominations.

The award ceremony was hosted by the one and only Nick Jonas, part of the Jonas brothers and knows music inside out. The Weeknd bagged ten awards that evening, and no one was giving any competition to him. BTS took honors in four different categories, which was a huge thing. Draka won the artist of the decade award, and no one could have given him any severe competition in this category. He has been producing banging hits almost every year and knows how to get the best music and make it available to his audience and at the right time.
