After a brief teaser back in June, the streaming platform has released a full-fledged trailer, giving us an insight into what we are in for. The show focuses on a group of terminally ill individuals, who meet at their hospice’s library every night to swap scary tales. Things start to go awry when they make a pact that the next of the group to die will send a signal from the other side.

Apart from his usual collaborator Rahul Kohli, the show stars a young cast of Iman Benson, Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Cymone, William Chris Sumpter, and Sauriyan Sapkota. Sharing the co-creator credits here is Trevor Macy, who’s worked with Flanagan on projects like Hush and Gerald’s Game.

Speaking of which, Flanagan first made a name for himself after 2013’s Oculus. He later followed up on that success with 2016’s Hush for Netflix. In recent years, Flanagan has also worked with Ewan McGregor on Doctor Sleep, a sequel to Stephen King’s The Shining.

After The Midnight Club, Flanagan will be seen adapting Edgar Allan Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher, which stars Mark Hamill in the lead, along with Rahul Kohli, Kate Siegel, and Henry Thomas. The series is set to come out sometime next year.
