The teaser of Friends Reunion had already created a stir amongst the fans, but they did not know that was coming for them. HBO Max dropped the trailer of the special episode yesterday (May 19), and it was an emotional watch for all the fans. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer sat down to reminisce about the good old days, giving you some bittersweet memories from the trailer itself.

The trailer begins with Ross (Schwimmer) recreating his famous quiz and asking the rest of the cast questions about the show. One can see them discussing their lives after the show, reading their lines and recreating some scenes from the show as well. Friends Reunion will also feature a number of special guests including the likes of David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon, and Malala Yousafzai.

Here are 5 special moments from the show that made us emotional:

Matthew Perry Crying

This has to be the most emotional scene for me. Considering the fact that we all have grown up seeing these character set friendship and love goals for us, seeing Perry cry was the most moving moment in the trailer. He’s sitting next to Aniston and he says, “Yeah, I am gonna cry,” and you totally can relate to how he is feeling.

Finally Setting The Most Important Question

The debate about whether Ross and Rachel were on a break has probably finally settled. While the whole cast says that the lovebirds were indeed on a break, LeBlanc subtly says, “bullshit,” while sipping his coffee. This discussion brings back the memories of the episode where Roschel decided to part ways.

Seeing Joey Grow Old

While LeBlanc was looking handsome as usual, seeing him all old and aged made us feel old too. It took me back to the episode where he is praying to God to let others grow and not him. Seeing him with grey hair and a belly, does make you, however, realise how far they have come.

Liza Kudrow’s Speech For Her Friends

Kudrow is telling the others how much they mean to her, and how day one of working with them felt like. The little glimpse of her speech is moving. You can see how close these people are even after a decade of the show getting over, and it just sets the ultimate goals for us.

The Cameos

Some characters that made the show interesting were Gunther, Janice, Amy, Richard, and the special would have been incomplete without them. We saw a glimpse of a few of these cameos including Tom Selleck and Janice Maggie Wheeler in the trailer, and it will make you feel absolutely nostalgic and sentimental to see them in the episode.
