The Family Man season 1 was a huge success, and Manoj Bajpayee’s fans were eagerly waiting to see how Srikant Tiwari’s life changes after he gives up his job as an intelligence officer. In season 2, Shri is dealing with new problems in his life, and is trying to keep himself away from his past. The show is arriving on Amazon Prime Video on June 4, and to raise the excitement for the same, the makers have now released the trailer of the series.

The trailer of The Family Man 2 is exactly what the audience was expecting it to be. From moments of laughter to some really good action sequences, the trailer has it all. Samantha Akkineni, who will share screen space with Bajpayee for the first time, also looks quite impressive in her role. The trailer keeps you hooked from the beginning till the end, and has successfully piqued everyone’s enthusiasm.

Shri and his wife are in therapy
Many scenes in the trailer show Shri and his wife, essayed by Priyamani, consulting a relationship counsellor. The two had developed some issues in the last season, and this time around their relationship will definitely be a key focus. Shri’s kids are also seen getting worried about the couple, so it is for the fans to see how this relationship will unfold now.
Shri is not with the Intelligence Beaureu anymore
While the first season wall about Shri’s life at the IB, in the second season we will see him work at a 9-5 job. There are scenes where we see his boss telling him to be more active at work. He works alone and makes sure he is not getting involved in any fun activity at the office. Some scenes also show how he is having major FOMO as he is missing his life as an IB agent.
This time the terrorist plot is based in Chennai
Shri will be finally reaching Chennai to solve a case and prevent an imminent attack. He will be pitted against a new, stalwart and ruthless enemy named Raaji, a character played by Samantha Akkineni. Raaji plans to destroy the city alongwith terrorist outfit ISI and rebel leaders. Her only motto is “I will kill them all”, as Shri tries to prevent her from succeeding in her plans.
Shri and JK (Sharib Hashmi) are still BFFs
While Shri chose to move on in life, he and JK are still the best of friends. Shri is seen calling JK up while he is stuck in a hostage situation. In another scene, we also see Hashmi telling him that Bajpayee is experiencing major FOMO, which means they talk a lot too often and have remained in touch even after being miles apart from each other.
New faces
Almost everyone from Season 1 has not returned back in The Family Man season 2. While Sharib Hashmi, Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, and Shreya Dhanwanthary will reprise their roles from the first season, the show will see new entries such as Ravindra Vijay, Shahab Ali, Devadarshini Chetan, Anandsami, Vedant Sinha and Mime Gopi.
Creators Raj and DK revealed at the trailer launch of the series, “We promised the season will be out by end of this summer, and we are glad that we just about kept that promise. Samantha Akkineni has done a tremendous job, along with the always-fantastic ensemble cast.
