The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, the most awaited night of television, has wrapped up at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California.

The TV academy bid goodbye to the Game Of Thrones by honouring the cast with a standing ovation. Game of Thrones had some surprising wins such as the award for Best Drama series. Peter Dinklage took home the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role of Tyrion Lannister, whereas, the underdog Fleabag snatched awards from the past continuous wins of the comedy series Veep. Phoebe Waller-Bridge bagged the award for the Best Actress in Comedy Series. Billy Porter became the first openly gay black man to win Outstanding Lead Actor in Drama Series.
