Here’s Why Telugu Film ‘Manasanamaha’ Has Made It To Guinness Book Of World Records

The team of Manasanamaha, a Telugu short film directed by Deepak Reddy, has a new reason to celebrate. The film has become the first Telugu short to get a mention in the prestigious Guinness Book of World Records. The film stars Viraj Ashwin, Drishika Chander, Srivalli Raghavendar and Prithvi Sharma in key roles.

 

Reddy took to Instagram to share that the film achieved this feat by receiving the highest number of awards for any short film in the world. He captioned the post, “EXTREMELY PROUD! The highest number of AWARDS for any short film in the WORLD !!! GUINNESS RECORD! PERIOD. This is a superb job done by this fighter/achiever @deepuzoomout without a major support. “

“This should be celebrated by the entire Indian Film Fraternity!! This is not a joke! A great great achievement by this young lad full of dreams and aspirations! A True inspiration to nextgen filmmakers! BRAVO BROTHER! Sky is the LIMIT! Highest number of AWARDS for any short film in the WORLD !!! GUINNESS RECORD! PERIOD.”

Bankrolled by Gajjala Shilpa, Manasanamaha has been screened at multiple film festivals across the globe and bagged 513 awards. The movie was awarded the Best Short Film title at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival too. The Telugu film was also the official entry to the Oscar and BAFTA awards. 

 

Major star Adivi Sesh also congratulated the team and said, “What a phenomenal achievement. A game-changing short film. I also have the pleasure of calling you a friend as well as the distributor of #Major. I can’t wait for you to shake the world with a feature film.” Anushka Shetty and Rashmika Mandanna, among others, also promoted the film.
