Netflix Unveils First Trailer Of Teletubbies Reboot
‘Teletubbies’ Trailer Evokes Nostalgia, But Are The 90s Kids Truly Excited For The Reboot?

Over the hills and far away, Teletubbies come to play

I will proudly admit that I still wouldn’t mind going back to watching the classic 90s cartoons that we used to watch as kids. And I’d be lying if I say Teletubbies won’t be on that list. The four cartoon characters – Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po brought joy to many 90s kids at that time, and is sure to be a nostalgic trip down the lane to see them return to Netflix after so many years.

A Teletubbies Reboot was in the pipeline for a long time, and finally, Netflix made the first announcement about the series in September 2022. That brought a sense of nostalgia to many, who then kept waiting to see what the reboot will look like. After a month of teasing, the first trailer of the Netflix show is out, and it sure is going to bring back all the old memories of the television days.

The trailer shows the four characters doing what they do best – killing time with the viewers. Nothing seems to have changed apart from the animation, and the baby that appeared as the sun in the show. The trailer was well received by the audience, with many expressing their excitement to revisit their childhood.

Actor Tituss Burgess is seen narrating the latest iteration. Rachelle Beinart, Rebecca Hyland, Nick Chee Ping Kellington, and Jeremiah Krage have been roped in as the new Teletubbies performers. The 12 episodes of the reboot will also include a new and original Tummy Tales song hosted by Julia Pulo.

The original Teletubbies first aired in 1997 on BBC for five concurrent seasons. A reboot was then released in November 2015, which ran for four seasons. It concluded in late 2018. The new Teletubbies Reboot will be available to stream on Netflix from November 14.
