After a two-year wait, everyone’s favorite football coach is back! Apple has finally shared a brief teaser trailer of Ted Lasso season 3, which is scheduled to debut on March 15, 2023.
In case you’re not familiar with the show, Ted Lasso follows Jason Sudeikis as a very optimistic American Football coach who is tasked to manage a Premier League team in England, despite not having any experience in the sport.
The 1-minute long trailer doesn’t reveal much about the plot, however, we do see Roy Kent and his former teammates crafting what looks like “Believe” signs. The audience is expecting a lot from the Apple TV+ original after the last season ended with a cliffhanger.
One of the highly anticipated reveals will come with Nick Mohammed’s Nate transitioning into a villain after his betrayal at the end of season 2. The actor shared a glimpse of what can be expected with season 3 hinting that Nate will be sensing a lot of loneliness and there is still hope for redemption following his “ultimate betrayal”.
Similarly, questions will be asked on how Ted will manage to keep AFC Richmond afloat after their promotion back into the Premier League. Safe to say, there’s a lot to explore throughout the season. Speaking of which, while Sudeikis did hint that season 3 could be the last outing of the show, the decision seems to have changed after its worldwide popularity.
Alongside Sudekis and Hunt, Ted Lasso season 3 will see a returning cast of Hannah Waddingham, Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, Brett Goldstein (who also serves as a writer on the show), Nick Mohammed, Juno Temple, and Sarah Niles.
