After the judiciary busted a hole in the drugs angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput – Rhea Chakraborty investigation, a source from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had told Mumbai Mirror that “nothing suspicious has been found in his transactions and it appears his family’s allegations were based on a misconception”.
Now, according to a Times of India report, the CBI also does not suspect any foul play in the actor’s death investigation and is likely to submit its closure report to the Bihar court.
AIIMS Report
Earlier in the month, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences’ (AIIMS) Forensic Medical Board had submitted its autopsy report and ruled out any murder theories in the actor’s death.
The Sushant Singh Rajput case has found widespread coverage in the media with three of India’s top agencies probing the case.
Rajput was found hanging in his suburban Bandra apartment on June 14.
ED Raids Filmmaker Dinesh Vijan’s Home
A few days ago, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a raid at Bollywood filmmaker and producer, Dinesh Vijan’s house as well as the Maddock Films office in relation to the agency’s investigation into financial irregularities in Rajput’s death case.
Dinesh Vijan was the director of 2017’s Raabta which starred Rajput, Kriti Sanon, and Jim Sarbh.
The Hindustan Times reports that payments made to Dinesh Vijan by Rajput in 2016 are under the scanner while India Today states that the ED had already questioned the filmmaker twice earlier and had also asked him to provide documents and other details related to the payments between him and Rajput.
