On a bright Tuesday morning, Suniel Shetty  invited his fans to check out his sprawling mansion. Located in Khandala, the actor appeared on the latest episode of Where the Heart Is, a YouTube show where celebrities talk about their homes. Shetty gave a glimpse of the nooks and corners of the beautiful bungalow.

Just like his down-to-earth nature, the house also has a very calm tone to it. The high ceilings, airiness and  natural sunlight let in give the house a welcoming feel. Dominated by earthy tones, you can spot plants in every corner of the house. It talks a lot about his love for nature.

During the tour, he even went on to say that he deliberately incorporated vegetation indoors because he is ‘obsessed’ with plants. He then moved on to show the outdoor patio. “The skies are really clear here,” he said, adding that one can see the stars at night.

The next highlight in the house is Shetty’s ‘den’— a private theatre. The theatre has posters of his films on the walls. The den was built so that Shetty could relax and get away from the hustle-bustle of the city. There is a swimming pool with a bridge above a narrow canal makes the outside look even more serene.

Saving the best for the last, Suniel Shetty  ends the tour with a stunning view from his cliffside garden. “I call this the climax,” he said, “Because it is all about nature.” He shared an anecdote about the house and said the very reason for buying this property was that it reminded him of his childhood house in Mangalore. He had visited the property to celebrate Holi a couple of years ago. It was his son Ahan Shetty who suggested that the place can be re-designed to look more beautiful. This made the actor and his wife, Mana develop the land, build a home, and plant trees. On the recommendation of Mana’s parents, they decided to name the house ‘Jahaan’.
