Sex, deaths and surprises – the second episode of Game of Throne’s new season definitely disappoint. And if you’re one of the faint-hearted, please don’t read on. MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!

 

The Red Woman Is Back

 

 

So the episode kicks off with Daenerys Targaryen in conversation on the subject of with her small counsel. Varys is questioned about his past, before he eventually convinces Khaleesi of his faithfulness. We then see Melisandre, the red priestess, visit Dragonstone castle and tell Danny about Jon and the prophecy of the Promised Prince.

 

Jon Marches South

 

 

Just before Sam’s raven from the citadel informing Jon Snow about the dragonglass reserves arrives, the King of the North is summoned by the Mother of Dragons on the Red Woman’s advice. The raven from Tyrion Lannister on Khaleesi’s behalf has Jon make yet another unpopular decision to march south, with Ser Davos for company.

 

Eunuch Sex

 

 

The unsullied army, along with the Dothrakis, were ordered by Danaerys to capture Casterly Rock and the news of parting invokes a moment of passion between Grey Worm and Missandei. There were various theories floating around the internet suggesting ways for a eunuch to have sex with a woman and the directors finally listened to these voices.

 

Sam finds Greyscale cure

 

 

In the previous episode, we saw Ser Jorah Mormont at the citadel and he finally comes face-to-face Sam and the archmaester. Tarly goes against his mentor’s suggestions and reads up a cure to the The Andal’s skin disease. You might want to close your eyes during the scene with the surgery though.

 

Euron Destroys Yara’s Ships

 

 

As expected, the most unexpected scene of the week came right at the end of the episode. Just when we thought we’d get to enjoy some hot lesbian action between Yara Grejoy and Ellaria Sand, Uncle Euron spoiled the mood with a cold-blooded ambush. Barring the cowardly Theon, and Ellaria and Tyene, everybody seemed to be the casualties of the attack.
