The film has surpassed Black Widow’ record of 186 million dollars. Liu’s film is expected to gross around 12.8 million over the next three days and a running total of 196 million dollars. What makes this feat even grander is the fact that the film was solely released in theatres with 45 days of exclusivity. Over the coming weekend, the film is predicted to exceed the domestic box office charts for the fourth weekend straight. It is expected to add 12 million to 14 million dollars to its box office collection and end the weekend with a business of approximately 200 million dollar.

Shang-Chi star Simu Liu had recently revealed that once he was a stock photo model. While preparing for the Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings premiere in Los Angeles, the actor offered to answer questions posed by his Twitter followers. One such follower brought up Liu’s work as a stock photography model, asking what will happen to the photos he’s featured in. “Got paid $120 and signed away all my rights to them because I was in credit card debt. Now they are everywhere,” Liu tweeted in reply.

Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, directed by Destin Cretton, is a film that follows Shang-Chi, as he confronts his past after becoming embroiled with a shady organisation known as the Ten Rings. The film notably features the famed Marvel villain and leader of the Ten Rings, The Mandarin (Tony Leung), for the first time in a Marvel feature film since his fake reveal in 2013’s Iron Man 3, as reported by Screen Rant.
