Shah Rukh Khan’s driver reached the NCB’s office on the evening of October 9. They recorded his statement following which he was allowed to leave, an official revealed. NCB also carried out multiple raids in Mumbai’s suburbs. They also arrested one more person, identified as Shivraj Ramdas, from Santacruz on October 8. So far, 19 people have been arrested in the case, including Aryan Khan.

On October 7, the court also rejected the NCB’s request for further custody of Aryan Khan and others. The court sent them in 14-day judicial custody instead. An NCB team led by its zonal director, Sameer Wankhede, had raided a Mumbai-Goa bound cruise and alleged to have recovered banned drugs.

Khan and the other accused in the case were initially sent to judicial custody till October 11. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, R M Nerlikar, made the announcement for the same, adding that given the nature of the offence, further investigation is required in the case.

NCB had earlier also claimed that they had recovered ‘shocking and incriminating’ material from the WhatsApp chats of Khan and others accused. However, Aryan’s co-accused Arbaaz Merchant’s father rubbished the allegations and said that they were not guilty of any of these charges.

The NCB has allegedly seized 2.5 gm Ecstacy, 54.3 gm Mephedrone from the accused. The agency further found 2 gm Charas as well. They also claimed that in the WhatsApp chats, Khan was discussing modes of payment to be done for procurement (of drugs) and that several code names are being used.
