Actress Sara Ali Khan made her debut in Kedarnath opposite late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and quickly went on to star in a slew of films alongside top celebrities like Ranveer Singh and Kartik Aaryan. However, her role in Simmba wasn’t great and Love Aaj Kal was universally panned. The actress is still one of the most sought after stars of Bollywood’s current generation and according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, she is going to be the lead opposite Tiger Shroff in Baaghi 4.

Bollywood Hungama had also earlier reported that Sara Ali Khan was almost locked to play the lead in Heropanti 2 but was dropped after she received a summons from the NCB in the alleged drug-related scandal following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

“Sara is front lining Baaghi 4 for now. Conversations had already happened for Heropanti 2 and she was almost locked for the same. But following what happened, she had to be replaced by Tara Sutaria. But Sajid is a man of his words and he offered her the female lead’s part in Baaghi 4. Sara has liked the part and her team is figuring out the dates for now,” a source told the entertainment portal.

Tiger Shroff has finished shooting for Heropanti 2 and will now begin shooting for Baaghi 4. Sara Ali Khan has two big releases lined up – Atrangi Re and The Immortal Ashwathama opposite Vicky Kaushal.

Sara Ali Khan also recently starred in the Coolie No 1 remake alongside Varun Dhawan. The film has not opened to positive reviews.

“The earlier Coolie No 1 had a cheery lunacy and a degree of innocence that allowed the ridiculous plot to play out as an extended joke. But in 2020, the narrative is dated and offensive on so many levels,” veteran film critic Anupama Chopra wrote in her review for the film.

Filmfare reports that the actress may be sharing the screen with another Bollywood biggie, Ranbir Kapoor. Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga faced major heat on social media following the release of these two films as netizens accused him of promoting domestic abuse. However, both films went on to become major Box Office successes.

Now, there are rumours that the controversial director is going to tie up with Ranbir Kapoor for his next project and that Sara Ali Khan is the lead contender for the role of the leading lady. According to Filmfare, Khan has also auditioned for the film.
