There is no doubt that whenever Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have come together on screen they have created magic, be it in the iconic ’90s hit, Karan Arjun or Kuch Kuch Hota Hai from the 2000s. But the last time fans had the pleasure of seeing the duo in one frame, was when Salman last made a cameo in Zero in 2018. Since then, people have been waiting with bated breath to see the two Khans together.
And their hopes received a fillip, when rumours of a reunion surfaced online yesterday. Reports suggested that Salman and SRK would be working together on a film with Aditya Chopra, sending fans into a tizzy. So much so, that #KaranArjun was trending on Twitter all of yesterday. Given that, I am unhappy to report that these rumours were in fact, baseless as has been further confirmed by a spokesperson.
Rubbishing the news, the source told Bollywood Hungama, “There is no script, nothing really. Individually there is Tiger with Salman and Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan as part of the spy universe. But a film with both together is just hearsay.”
Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan may not be coming together but Salman is surely making a cameo in the SRK-starrer, Pathaan. The actor had dropped a hint about it on his social media as well. He shot for his scenes back in 2021. Th film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in key roles. SRK too might be seen starring in a cameo, in Salman’s Tiger 3, which will feature Katrina Kaif as the leading lady along with Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist.
With these two top-of-the-line movies in the making, YRF is well on its way forming a spy universe. Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s WAR is also a part of the franchise.
