Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday’s Liger was released today. After days of promoting the film, the much-awaited movie is finally out. The makers released the Telugu version first, followed by a Bollywood theatrical release. If social media is to be believed, Liger has sold its digital streaming rights to Disney+ Hotstar, for a hefty amount, and rumors are rife that the movie will start streaming in October.

Vijay Deverakonda 

Liger marks his Bollywood debut, where the charming actor plays the role of an MMA player. Deverakonda tasted fame after starring in the hugely popular Arjun Reddy, and there has been no looking back ever since. Popular reports suggest that he has been paid Rs. 25 crores for ‘Liger’.  

Ananya Panday 

Panday plays the role of Deverakonda’s love interest. The young actress took home a pay cheque of Rs. 3 crores for the movie, which is way lesser than her male counterpart. She debuted in Bollywood with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2 and later did Pati Patni Aur Woh with Kartik Aaryan.  

Mike Tyson  

Even before the film’s release, Tyson’s cameo was talked about extensively. What’s more, both the (lead) actors were seen sharing pictures with him. Tyson is a professional boxer and was in the ring till 2005. While not much has been disclosed about his pay, there have been talks about him taking home a handsome paycheck.

Ronit Roy 

One of the highest paid television actors, Roy charges Rs 1.5 lakh per episode. Television aside, he has done quite a few impactful roles in Bollywood. The actor was paid Rs. 1.2 crores for playing Deverakonda’s coach in the movie.

Ramya Krishnan 

In this movie, she played the role of Balamani, Deverakonda’s (on-screen) mother. Her performance as Sivagami Devi in the Bahubali franchise won her several accolades. Krishnan has been paid Rs. 1 crore for her role in Liger.  

Makarand Deshpande 

Deshpande is a popular actor, writer, and director in the entertainment industry. He regularly performs in theatres as well. According to reports, he charged Rs. 40 lakhs for his role in the movie.  

Vishu Reddy  

After Deverakonda, it is Reddy who’s been soaking up all the praise for his performance in the movie. He started his career as a model and later forayed into acting. Reddy has reportedly been paid a sum of Rs. 60 lakhs for his role, which by the way is a crucial one.
