Saif Ali Khan’s Advice To Daughter Sara Is Something Every Child Needs To Hear

Parents, take note

Ever since some asshole decided that one type of person was the epitome of beauty, human beings have constantly faced issues of insecurity, body dysmorphia and what not. In the age of Instagram, everyone wants to look like Kylie Jenner or that buff dude in the Calvin Klein ad. What’s worse is that sometimes, parents tend to aggravate such issues by serving up endless hours of negative talk to their children. “Zyada moti ho gayi hai” is the desi equivalent of “hello, how are you” during family gatherings. For all of you feeling low about yourselves, here’s what Saif Ali Khan told us when asked what advice he’d give to his daughter on the verge of her acting debut:

“My main advice to her is if someone tells her to get her teeth straightened, don’t do that. You don’t want to look like a generic person. Not that there’s anything wrong with her teeth, by the way. But people tell you to make these cosmetic changes. People can look charming if their inner beauty or their personality comes out. That’s what acting is about. Also, I’d like her to choose interestingly and be an artiste. Don’t treat life like a 9-5 job,” he said.

Parents, take note.
