Ranveer Singh is truly the actor of the moment – his latest release Simmba is making all the right noises and there’s a crazy amount of buzz regarding his upcoming film Gully Boy. The actor will also be seen in director Kabir Khan’s ’83 which is based on India’s win at the 1983 cricket World Cup.

Currently, according to Timesnownews, Singh is being trained by Balwinder Singh Sandhu but Bollywood Life reports that he might also be trained by Kapil Dev himself.

“Ranveer’s cricket coaching will be with Balwinder Singh Sandhu – also a key member of the 1983 World Cup winning squad. While Sandhu and Ranveer will work rigorously to perfect the game, Ranveer will also train with the legend Kapil Dev. Kapil will coach him to perfect his iconic bowling action and Ranveer will work with him to pick up all his mannerisms on and off the field,” a source told the entertainment portal.

There were also rumours that actress Deepika Padukone would play Singh’s onscreen wife in the movie but a Deccan Chronicle report quashed those rumours stating that the role of Dev’s wife in the movie was minimal and hence, Padukone wasn’t keen on essaying the role.
