In an interview with Deccan Chronicle in 2015, Singh who essayed the role of Peshwa Bajirao in Bajirao Mastani, revealed that he never believed in ghosts initially but everything changed on the sets of this film. “It was a very trippy experience and I completely freaked out. I recall it as one of the most difficult days of the shoot. I thought I felt some kind of presence and something told me it’s him,” he explained.

Narrating the whole incident, the actor said, “I started to think what if I encounter his ghost and connect to his spirit and all. I don’t know what made me think of it. But it was the following week that I felt it actually happen. I had a tough task ahead of me on that day of the shoot and I was praying hard to get it right.

There was a black wall on the sets on which some white dust had settled and formed the pattern in the shape of Bajirao’s figure. It had the turban, the eyes, nose, the mooch and the arms. The resemblance was for all to see,” he added.

Apart from this, the word is that Karan Johar will be uniting with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh for a romantic flick, which has reportedly been titled Prem Kahani. A source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama, “The makers were on the lookout for a quirky yet relatable title and that’s when they zeroed in on Prem Kahani. The film is essentially a love story of two completely opposite characters, and the audience will get a glimpse of vintage Karan Johar, whose films at one point, were just meant to spread happiness, and take the audience in a fairy tale world.”

The actor will be seen as former cricketer Kapil Dev in the sports drama ’83 next. The film is directed by Kabir Khan and also stars Deepika Padukone, as his wife, Romi Dev. The film will chronicle the Indian cricket team’s first-ever World Cup victory in 1983. Apart from this, Singh also has Sooryavanshi, Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Cirkus in the pipeline.
