Ranveer Singh broke the Internet with his latest photoshoot. The actor posed naked for Paper magazine, leading to a nationwide frenzy. And while fans drooled over his sexy pictures, a Mumbai-based NGO filed a case against Singh.
PTI reported that the application was filed on Monday, with an FIR claiming that the actor was “hurting sentiments of women” with the nude photographs. It was submitted at the Chembur Police Station by an office-bearer associated with a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) and separately, by a lawyer, too.
The complaints stated that the images had offended women’s humility and sought the registration of the case under the Information Technology Act, alongside other sections of the Indian Penal Code. “We received an application from a person associated with an NGO on Monday. No FIR is registered so far. We are enquiring,” an official told PTI.
Once the news spread online, fans rushed to defend the actor, upholding his personal rights and calling the FIR senseless.

Talking about him getting naked for the photoshoot, Singh told Paper Magazine, “It’s so easy for me to be physically naked, but in some of my performances I’ve been damn f*****g naked. You can see my f*****g soul. How naked is that? That’s being actually naked. I can be naked in front of a thousand people, I don’t give a sh*t. It’s just that they get uncomfortable.”
Work wise, Singh has a great line up of films in the pipleline. He will be reuniting with co-actor, Alia Bhatt for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film also marks Karan Johar’s return to the director’s seat after Aae Dil Hai Mushkil. Plus, he’s working on with Simmba director, Rohit Shetty, once again for Cirkus .
