Making the perfect trailer is a craft. Deepa Mehta (1947 Earth, Fire, Water, Midnight’s Children) is coming back this year with the Randeep Hooda and Gulshan Grover starrer, Beeba Boys. And the trailer looks like a cross between Pulp Fiction and Entourage on coke (and we don’t mean the fizzy kind).
Based on the life of flamboyant Indo-Canadian drug trafficker Bindy Johal (though the film-makers are not accepting it yet), the film stars Randeep Hooda as a badass gangster who runs a slick gang of thugs who are as dandy as they come. Sharply-cut suits, colourful turbans and pop ice lollies, the trailer is a roller coaster ride of drugs, guns, parties, fast cars and babes. If we didn’t tell you, you’d think this was a Man’s World shoot video.
Deepa Mehta always finds a way of popping a surprise. We can’t wait to catch this film on the 16th of October this year.
