Rajinikanth has been battling with health issues for quite some time now. The actor was even admitted to the hospital for treatment a few months ago, and the actor also flew to the US for treatment a few weeks back. While no update about his health has been shared, it is being now said that Rajinikanth is flying back to Chennai after successful treatment.

The south star will be taking rest for a couple of days after coming back to base. A few days after taking rest, he will resume working on Annaatthe. The dubbing portions of the are yet to be completed, and Rajini wants to wrap it up soon. The actor had earlier informed Vairamuthu about his medical trip and informed him that he is fine and doing well.

 

Dhanush, Rajinikanth’s son-in-law, was also in the US. He is currently shooting for his upcoming Hollywood film, and was taking care of Rajinikanth. Dhanush’s wife and son are also in the US. The superstar had earlier requested the central government to grant him permission to travel abroad during the restrictions imposed because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Rajini reportedly travelled on a special flight along with his family members who are vaccinated.

 

To honour his work, Rajinikanth was recently honoured with the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Union Minister, Prakash Javadekar took to Twitter to share the news with everyone and congratulated him for receiving the esteemed title. The award is the country’s highest film honour.

 

Workwise, the makers of Annatthae have confirmed that the film will be releasing this Diwali on November 4. Siruthai Siva’s directorial also features Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Khusbu, Meena, Soori, Sathish, and several others in key roles. The film is produced by Sun Pictures.
