Priyanka Chopra-starrer Quantico was cancelled over the weekend by host network ABC. The show features Chopra as an FBI recruit framed for a bombing attack. It is understood that it will be allowed to complete its third season, which will wrap up this July.
The series also starred Josh Hopkins, Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Tate Ellington, Graham Rogers, Anabelle Acosta, Russell Tovey, Pearl Thusi, Blair Underwood, Marlee Matlin and Alan Powell.
The show was an unexpected breakout in its first season, but a dense narrative and declining interest led to falling viewership numbers across the last two seasons.
The show propelled Priyanka to international stardom, as she became a fixture at award shows, gala dinners, and late-night talk shows. She had also managed to bag a role in the Baywatch remake in her emergence in Hollywood.
It remains to be seen now whether or not she will stay in the West and try and pursue a further career there, or return back to India.
